Digital Matte Painting crated by Karlie Carpentier Rosin. This is an exercise in which all signs of life were removed, the plate (base image) was cleaned by removing all people, elements on the beach, towers, etc, and vegetation was replaced as well to create a lush environment. Addition of mountains in the horizon to add scale. See the before and after above.
Digital Matte Painting by Karlie Carpentier Rosin: this matte painting is also interpreted as a concept as certain elements were added to enhance the mood (such as birds, lighting, etc) that would otherwise be added by another department. In this image, we see the main street of Gastown, Vancouver having been very lightly taken over by vegetation.
